1. Structural & Ceiling Restrictions

  • Ceiling Inspection Required: Racks can only be installed on finished or unfinished wood-joist ceilings. We cannot install overhead racks on steel-framed ceilings, drop ceilings, or structural areas with compromised/rotted wood.

  • Obstruction Clearance: The installation area must be clear of ceiling fans, light fixtures, garage door opener tracks, and HVAC vents. If any utilities need to be relocated, this must be done by a licensed contractor prior to our arrival.

2. Weight Limit & Usage Disclaimer

  • Strict Weight Compliance: Every overhead rack has a manufacturer-specified weight capacity (e.g., 300 lbs, 500 lbs, or 600 lbs). The homeowner assumes all liability for any structural damage, rack bending, or failure caused by overloading the racks beyond their official weight rating.

  • Distribution of Weight: For safety, heavy items must be evenly distributed across the rack platform rather than stacked entirely in one corner or center point.

3. Workspace Clearance

  • Vehicles and Items Removed: The entire footprint beneath the intended installation zone must be completely clear. All vehicles, tools, and personal belongings must be moved outside the garage before our team begins drilling and mounting.
